As per the title of this post, I have indeed pre-ordered a Kindle 3. I went for the Wi-Fi version for £109 as I can’t envisage me needing a book so desperately that I can’t wait for a Wi-Fi connection – only time will tell if that’s a mistake. If I hadn’t dragged my heels on ordering it then it would have been despatched on August 27th, as it is I’ll have to wait for September 10th.
The first book I want to order is The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo – mainly beacause it comes highly recommended by Leo Laporte, albeit he talks about the Audible version. I also want to order the Scott Pilgrim
comic books, which have incidentally just gone down in price. I think I’ll order one before I get the Kindle and one when I ave the Kindle – that way I’ll get to experience the ordering process as using multiple platforms to read titles, as right now it would be downloaded for use on my iPhone.
I haven’t bought one of the over-priced Kindle Cases yet as I am known to be a bit fickle so I’ll see if I get on with the Kindle first, then I’m sure I’ll be back to get one – maybe even the one with the built in lamp.

But the cases are such a rip off compared to the great value of the device!
They are, but I bet they fit like a glove!
I did look on eBay but there aren’t many alternatives – probably have to wait till its been released until some decent, and cheaper cases get made.
